Good to know

  • Settings will show the display as an "Unknown Part". The message doesn't affect your ability to use your iPhone. Apple says it might affect the phone's trade-in value.
  • Apple says that with a display it didn't make, True Tone might not work correctly, maximum brightness might be lower, display color calibration might be incorrect, Multi-Touch might not respond on parts of the screen, and the battery might drain unintentionally.
  • By iFixit's guide, move the front sensor assembly from your old screen to the new one before you close the phone. Disconnect the battery before you unplug the screen. Plan on 1–2 hours, by iFixit's estimate.
  • Step by step: iFixit's free iPhone 13 Pro screen guide, and our install help.
  • Test the screen before you fit it. New to phone repair? A repair shop can fit it for you.
